Finally, I am posting the tryptich work, parts of which I had posted earlier. The exercise of working with leaves has really opened my vision to simple mundane things. In Art today, I realise, there are so many complexities that one forgets to realise the multitude, depth and diversity of so many simple forms around us.
Each of these canvases are about a feet and half tall... I am now working on bigger canvases, which I shall post next week...

powerful stuff Nirali. You really wake the senses to everyday beauty. I think it has alot to do with the freshness and vibrancy of the colours you're using. The works really do work together and look like a great series.
I love the gestural sense of the work, the colours, and the theme pretty much.
The idea of starting with leaves is such a simple one, but you are right - it is so overlooked. With your pieces you have accomplished the task of waking the eye to see the simple beauty in nature.
Good work!
hey nirodh, i really like the latest in your triptych. the yellows of hte leaf against the whites and blues of the background is lovely. I do think that you have a very successful set of 3 here.
I find it really interesting that you have chosen to do this subject. And the particular way that you frame it. its svery 'close-up'. like the leaves are bursting out - out of the frame and out with full-on energy.
the best part for me in this study of yours was really the spontaneity that you work with. this really come out when i look at them...
i wonder if for the sake of study purposes you would want to do a slow, detailed, deliberate...one might say almost 'academic' work. heeheehee even as i type this i wonder if that suggestion is valid. i mean why try for stiff when you are free?
