This blog is a document of the process of three artists creating seven paintings each over a period of ten months for a group exhibition.
It is a rich document of each artists personal journey through weekly notes. Peer critiques play an important role in documenting the dialog between the 3 artists while also providing an external perspective on this honest and introspective process.
hey you! great website. great concept. i love the name. namelessnow. i really cant wait to see this in person. right now, i'm getting the concept, but i really think i need to be there in person to understand it more. i'm so proud of you arch! you're doing a lot of stuff - meaningful stuff. and its great to see you trying to find and create a niche for everything that you're doing. making everything relevant. very sweet. its amazing how you can keep on top of everything! i just got back from the beach - so i'm back to work now. keep up with everything. hey- hows the travelling going?
I am just about keeping my head above the water. Learning a lot on how to keep multiple projects simmering. They only boil over occasionally no.
I think my time served at Microsoft Research was super learning for me. I can really prioritize and create work schedules that are reasonable and do-able. Then I guess its just a question of being disciplined enough to follow through.
I think deadlines work best towards making projects that are simmering boil over though...and so 3For I think is the next dispatch - are we ready to go?
3For is an art project that was inspired when three of us were brought together after a 10 year gap. It took losing one of our close friends to realize that the friendship that was forged in art school was really precious to each of us.
Coincidentally, all of us had just returned to the world of art after a decade of gaining experiences in various other areas.
This project is in celebration of our return - to painting and to friends.
