BLUE
Just finished this piece. Going back to exploring the figure and ground through line and colour. Overall i am really happy with it - I think it came out rather well.
hey poojie... its great you are working... Right now, I am in bangalore... with anika and ananya, my bro, situ and my dear parents... so very very busy I plan to restart my work for our show, when i rech baroda after the end of this month... Bway, it was great seeing arc, just a couple of days before she left for Denmark on Jaaga's firts birthday. At the time, we disscussed about our show in Jan, and how it is necessary to document, each stage of our work for it. We were also disscussing on how to link the concept or idea in our work to the concept of jaaga and 3For. Poojie, I am sure you have seen the Jaaga site. so maybe we can keep disscussing and posting stuff on the site love
I like Blue...a little less emotive but defi more interesting in terms of colour palette and texture. I think there is something there too - colour, texture, form and pose can all tell the viewer something...convey some emotion. If that is what you want to do, if you want to trip out on controlling a little bit how viewers feel...then perhaps you can start to assess and discuss these aspects before intuitively pushing on?
3For is an art project that was inspired when three of us were brought together after a 10 year gap. It took losing one of our close friends to realize that the friendship that was forged in art school was really precious to each of us.
Coincidentally, all of us had just returned to the world of art after a decade of gaining experiences in various other areas.
This project is in celebration of our return - to painting and to friends.
