Okay, Above is an image of my painting in process along with the reference photographs. I went around Baroda and took snaps of the different circles in the city. This first painting is inspired from an image of a sculpture in metal situated in a 'circle', in the bustling city area closer to old Baroda. Just like the city area in Bangalore, these areas have shops which can have merchandise cheaper than what is available in the newly developed malls situated in other areas. Its interesting to suddenly see such a unique sculpture in an otherwise 'usual' scenario. The two human forms dancing together as in the photographs are made in circular forms. The painting is done in my drip method.... ha ha, I am making it my signature method... ( no no, just joking, dont know yet)
I am using acrylic color to paint it and quite excited to see how this painting turns out!

hey nirali- i really like this new painting. i love the way it 'weaves' in and out. it kind of reminds me of those 3d pictures. the more you look at it you see something else. cant wait to see how you will translate 'circle' into the other paintings. is this one almost done?
this is pretty interesting N. I like that you have this theme of circles...and am curious how that theme will evolve along with the painting process...
re your thoughts around how these would work in the Jaaga space - yep square room is possible.
Will the paintings be lining the walls? We dont really have 'walls' but can use fabric screens to create a feeling of a contained space...
Perhaps you can break it up...so that there is one empty room with a large circle in it...then the viewer goes int another room where there is part of a circle + one or two work...this way you can take over 3-4 rooms in the building.
This would get the viewers to circulate through the building, rather than getting holed up in one part.
Hey Arcna, I think two rooms would be fine. Like each painting on one wall (4 in a room).
As my initial idea was to have one square room with eight paintings (two on each wall) with a big circle in the middle so the viewer walks around the circle to view my square paintings about circles in a square room!
So it can be two rooms with circles in them.
Yeah, white fabric screens I think would be needed
