Time Crime

Girls - I have been craxy busy with trying to complete a project with Microsoft Research. Its called World Digital Heritage and I am directing 2 marquee narratives for it. One on Ladakh and one on Hampi. Its all consuming. Between this consultancy gig and Jaaga, I have no bandwidth left.

Here's what I think would end up happening. The two of you will exhibit at Jaaga, which has been the most important art project I have been on this last year. I have always thought of Jaaga as a living installation that Freeman and I started, and Kiran and tons of ppl continue in ways that are entirely personal to them.

Perhaps, this is what it will end up being my contribution to this exhibition.

I know that you girls will be upset and think I am copping out - but really, my timeline is so incredibly tight, and I already feel too much pressure and stress - that I don't think I can physically and mentally take on another, new trip-out.

If I finish this MS work (which I completely doubt), and there is some amount of time, then potentially I could put together the drawings I made for the wedding and figure out how best to make something of it. But this is not something that currently I can promise on making happen.

Am fully on board on this blog, thinking and commenting all along...that is definite. And speaking of which, we really need to rope in someone, or commission someone to start working with us on the design of the e-catalog as well as the presentation of the blog and its content. Any ideas?

Bway, Whew!!! did u hear us??
Well whatever it is Arc... I think the important part is you sharing with us on the blog and commenting and its understandable that you have pressure. I guess that is the important part and what the whole exercise is about.
Is it possible for you to hurriedly scan and post wedding drawings atleast... if it dosent happen, we'll discuss, but atleast we can start disscussing something about your work... Maybe they can be much fewer posts than us... but whatever pssible...

bummer arch. ok, i agree with nirali. can you post stuff thats happening at jaaga since that is your art baby? yes, the pressure i'm sure is insane for you. i think this is kind of a moment where you make your choice (for now at least) about where your direction and dedication should be. i think as artists it is always a struggle to put your work first and persevere inspite of the pressures of everyday world and the money making world.
i'm not preaching - i totally understand where you're coming from. hasn't this been our struggle with 3for from the beginning? since its inception 3 yrs ago, trying to keep work and communication open and forthcoming. anyway, at this stage i think its crucial to put in your input in the form of your blogs and comments otherwise i think it in one sense defeats 3for and what its all about.
